In June we activated dozens of new Flightradar24 provided ADS-B receivers and hundreds more home-built receivers began sharing data with the Flightradar24 network. Thanks to these new receivers and the nearly 20,000 already apart of our network, we tracked 5.5 million flights in June. We also set a single day record, tracking 202,157 flights on 29 June!
We sent fully equipped receiver kits to six continents in June, activating new receivers for greater coverage in places like Argentina, Afghanistan, Botswana, Indonesia, Russia, and more. We activated another cluster of receivers in Nepal, adding important coverage there. New receivers across the United States are helping us increase our MLAT coverage there.
