United Airlines flight 1930 suffered a bird strike to its left engine while departing Chicago-O’Hare’s (KORD|ORD) runway 22L on Friday, 14 October. Passengers onboard as well as the aircraft departing behind UA1930 reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the engine. The pilots of UA1930 immediately declared an emergency and requested to return to O’Hare immediately.
