After years of development, production, ground tests, flight tests, and route proving, the first Bombardier C Series CS100 is headed home from Montreal with Swiss International Air Lines tomorrow. The first of 30 CS100s destined for SWISS, HB-JBA will enter revenue service on 15 July.

The first revenue flight for HB-JBA on 15 July will be LX638 from Zurich to Paris. It will also initially fly between Zurich and Budapest, Manchester, and Prague with additional destinations being added later in the summer.

Swiss’ CS100s feature 125 seats in 2-3 configuration, with 20 business class and 105 economy class seats.
On the Flight Deck
The fly-by-wire C Series CS100 has a four main-screen glass flight deck and a HUD for each pilot as well. Bombardier opted for a sidestick for the C Series.
Power
The CS100 is powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engines. Each engine is capable of 19,000 lbf (85 kN) of thrust.
